Seasonality - Fall de-toxifying yoga sequence

Chiara M. Travisi

The first sequence I am presenting deals with Fall and is focused on ‘de-toxifying’ the embodiment. Detox here means how, through our yoga practice, we can become able of ‘touching’ some internal areas which are particularly related to the physiological functions of ‘digestion' and ‘de-toxification’, but which are usually far away from the possibility of a direct contact. Yog-asanas and prāṇāyāma give us that ‘magic’ to create such a contact.

Seasonality: the climate outside and the climate inside us

Chiara M. Travisi

Transformation, ‘seasonality’, is a fundamental principle to be taken into consideration in personal yoga practice. Every day our embodiment experiences bio-chemical changes in order to adapt to external stimuli, generating an internal response and continuous transformation. In other words, every day we find ourselves dealing with a ‘climate outside’ and with a ‘climate inside’ us. In this series of four sequences I address this fascinating topic by proposing a practice for each climate season: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.

Yoga at the time of coronavirus

Chiara M. Travisi

What do we need yoga for during the coronavirus? Exercises to strengthen the immune system or test of the Patanjialian system? Who heads who? Yoga is the test of resistance to the virus yoghin or the virus makes us test concretely, for example in terms of anxiety management, if the effect of the practice of yoga on our mental condition is actually what you want?
